Beyond the greenhouse door lay a garden that never belonged to any season. Snow settled on one side of the path while orange butterflies floated through warm air on the other. A silver stream ran uphill between blue stones. Every flower turned when I passed, as though it had been waiting for a visitor who knew its name.
