Plans & Getting Started

Choose the right level of support, begin for free, and change plan whenever your needs change.

Can I start without paying?

Yes. The Free plan allows learners to explore prompts, writing tips, picture-based tasks, and the community before deciding whether to upgrade to a paid plan.

Which plan is best for 11+ preparation?

The Max plan is best suited for 11+ preparation. It offers the highest feedback allowance and includes structured pathways for primary, 11+, school, and exam-focused writing practice.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings. Your current subscription benefits will continue until the end of the billing period.

Why am I seeing the message: "Thanks for trying to sign up! You need to be at least 13..."?

You entered a date of birth showing that you are under 13 years old. To help protect children's privacy and comply with data protection laws, atoply requires a parent or guardian to create and manage accounts for children under 13. Please ask a parent or guardian to create your account so you can start using the platform safely.

Inside practice

Writing Features & Rules

Understand publishing, AI images, timers, originality rules, and how different task types are saved.

Can I time my practice?

Yes. There is a timer located at the top of the writing page. You can click the timer icon to adjust the time limit. It is designed to help you manage your writing time and does not automatically submit your work when it ends.

How do I publish my writing?

Once your writing score reaches 80 or above, you can publish it in Arena. On the top-left of the writing screen, the left button allows you to publish your work. Published writing may be shared within the platform depending on visibility and performance.

How do I generate AI images?

Once your writing score reaches 70 or above, you unlock AI image generation. On the top-left of the writing screen, the right-hand button allows you to generate an image based on your writing. The system analyses your text and creates a visual representation of your ideas.

Can I copy and paste in writing tasks?

No. Copy and paste is disabled in writing tasks to encourage original thinking and help learners build independent writing skills.

What are Custom Prompt and Practice tasks?

Custom Prompt and Practice tasks are saved in your history so you can revisit them later. However, they do not count toward your growth metrics or performance tracking.

Safe sharing

Community & Arena

Learn how names, following, comments, likes, and featured writing work in the community areas.

Are usernames in Arena anonymous?

Yes. All usernames in Arena are anonymised to protect privacy and maintain a safe learning environment.

Can I follow other users?

Following other users is currently only available to schools and classes. This feature will be made available to all users in the future.

Can I comment on other people's writing?

Commenting on other users' writing is currently limited to schools and classes to ensure a safe and moderated environment.

How do I get my writing on the home page?

Each week, the two writings with the most likes are featured on the home page automatically.

Account value

Coins, Membership & Payments

Find coins, manage billing, understand referrals, and see how feedback sessions fit your plan.

Where can I see how many coins I have?

You can view your coins by going to Settings, then Your Membership, or by visiting your profile page and selecting your plan name.

Where do I manage my payments or subscriptions?

Go to the Your Membership page via your profile, then click Manage Billing Portal to update payment details, view invoices, or manage your subscription.

What is a referral code?

A referral code is a unique code you can share with friends. When someone signs up using your code and subscribes to a paid plan, both users receive rewards. Paid members earn GBP 5 credit, while free users receive 250 Creativity Coins. Referral codes can be customised but cannot be changed once set.

What do AI feedback sessions mean?

AI feedback sessions are opportunities for learners to receive personalised guidance on their writing. Instead of focusing only on coins, feedback sessions represent a clearer way to understand how much monthly feedback support a user has available.

Growth tracking

Progress, XP & Learning

See how XP, leaderboards, and weekly progress loops help learners keep improving.

How does XP work?

XP, or Experience Points, is earned every time you submit a writing. The amount depends on your score and is calculated dynamically. Higher-quality writing earns more XP and helps you progress faster.

How do leaderboards work?

Leaderboards reset every week from Monday to Sunday. Each writing earns XP based on your score. At the end of the week, your total XP determines your league. If you finish in the promotion zone, you move up to a higher league. Higher leagues are more competitive with smaller promotion zones.
