Welcome to atoply! These Terms govern your use of our platform. By using atoply, you’re agreeing to these rules. If you’re under 18, please make sure your parent or guardian has read and agreed to these with you.

1. Using the Service

Purpose: atoply is for personal and educational use. It’s here to help you practice writing and ace those exams.

Play Fair: Don’t try to “break” our AI, scrape our content, or use the app to generate harmful or illegal material.

Eligibility: Users under 13 must have explicit parental consent to create an account.

2. Your Content & Our AI

Your Writing: You (the student) own the copyright to everything you write on atoply. However, to make the app work, you grant atoply a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your writing within the platform.

We may also use anonymized versions of your writing (if you are over 18 years of age) to improve our AI coaching models, ensuring we can provide even better feedback to future students.

Our Coaching: The feedback, suggestions, and prompts provided by our AI are there to guide you. While our AI is smart, it’s not a human teacher—always use your own judgment for final school assignments or exams!

License: By using the app, you give us permission to process your text so we can provide feedback and improve our writing models (always in accordance with our Privacy Policy).

2.1 AI-Generated Visuals

When you use atoply’s AI to turn your writing into an image, you are free to download, share, and show off that image!

Your Rights: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive right to use these images for your own enjoyment and educational purposes.

Our License: By generating an image, you grant atoply a worldwide, royalty-free, and perpetual license to display that image within the app or in our promotional materials (such as our website, social media, or advertisements). We do this to show the world the amazing things our students create.

Note on AI Ownership: Please be aware that under current laws, AI-generated images may have limited or no copyright protection. atoply does not claim to own the “master” copyright of these generated visuals.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Free vs. Paid: We offer a Free Tier so you can explore. For full access to all features of the app and learning pathways, we offer Monthly and Yearly subscriptions.

No Refund Policy: Because atoply provides immediate access to digital content and AI processing power, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.

Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. You will keep your “Pro” access until the end of your current billing cycle.

3.1 atoply Credits ("Coins")

To provide a high-quality AI experience, certain features (such as AI Writing Assessments and AI Image Generation) require the use of atoply Credits, referred to in the app as “Coins.”

Not a Currency: Coins are a “limited license right" to access specific AI features. They have no cash value, are not personal property, and cannot be balanced, transferred, or redeemed for real-world money.

Usage & Expiry: Your subscription includes a set allocation of Coins per billing cycle. Unless otherwise stated, unused Coins do not “roll over” to the next month and will expire at the end of your current billing period.

No Refunds for Unused Coins: Because Coins are bundled with your subscription to provide access to the service, we do not offer refunds or credits for any unused Coins remaining at the end of a month or upon cancellation.

Adjustment of Costs: atoply reserves the right to change the “Coin cost” of specific AI features (e.g., increasing the cost of a high-detail image generation) as our underlying technology and API costs evolve.

4. Account Security

You are the guardian of your login info. If you think someone else has jumped into your account, let us know immediately. atoply isn't responsible for any losses caused by unauthorized use of your account.

5. Limitation of Liability

We strive for 100% uptime and perfect feedback, but atoply is provided “as is.” We aren't liable for any technical glitches, “AI hallucinations,” or if you don't get the specific exam grade you were hoping for (though we’re rooting for you!).

6. Changes to Terms

As atoply grows, we might update these terms. If we make a big change, we’ll send you an email or post a notice in the app.
