About King’s College School

King’s College School, Wimbledon, is an academically selective school with a strong intellectual reputation, a linked junior school and an extensive programme of sport, arts and enrichment. It currently educates boys in the junior and younger senior years and has a co-educational Sixth Form; a phased expansion will welcome girls at 11+ from 2033 and 13+ from 2035. Its ethos explicitly combines academic endeavour with education of the whole person.

Both 11+ (Year 7) and 13+ (Year 9) are established entry routes, although current published material does not give a reliable annual place count for each. For both, applicants normally take the school’s English, maths and verbal-reasoning tests in Year 6, with interviews for shortlisted boys and offers made the following February; families must select one route rather than apply for both. Existing junior-school pupils also progress into the senior school. A limited additional 13+ assessment route is available in Year 8 for eligible candidates.
