📝 Sample Answer
Almost everyone has an old phone, a broken tablet, or a computer that doesn't work anymore. But what happens to these gadgets when we're finished with them? It's a really important question because if we just throw them in the regular bin, they become part of a big problem called 'e-waste'.
E-waste is a huge environmental challenge. Inside our phones and computers are tiny amounts of special metals and chemicals. If these devices end up in a landfill, those chemicals can leak into the soil and water, harming plants, animals, and even us. Plus, making new electronics uses up lots of resources, so throwing away old ones means we're wasting valuable materials that could be used again.
So, what should we do? The best thing is to dispose of e-waste responsibly. One great way is recycling. Many towns have special recycling centres where they can take apart old electronics safely and reuse the materials. Another good idea is to donate old phones or computers that still work to charities or schools; this gives them a second life. Sometimes, if a device is only a little bit broken, we can even try to repair it instead of buying a new one.
By choosing to recycle, donate, or repair our old electronics, we can help protect our planet from harmful pollution and save precious resources. It's a small step that makes a big difference for our environment.
