Home schooling is when children learn at home with their parents instead of going to a school building. There are good things and not-so-good things about it.
One good thing is that you can learn exactly what you like. If you love dinosaurs, you could spend extra time learning all about them! You can also learn at your own speed, so if something is tricky, you can take longer, or if it's easy, you can zoom ahead. This means lessons can be made just for you.
However, one tricky thing about home schooling is making friends. At a big school, you see lots of children every day for playing and chatting. Also, schools often have lots of special things like big sports fields, libraries, and science equipment that might be harder to have at home.
So, home schooling means you get a very personal way of learning, but it might mean you miss out on some of the fun and facilities of a bigger school.
