Dear Councillor Jenkins,
I am writing to you today because I am very concerned about the state of our local parks, especially Oakwood Park. They are looking tired, and I believe it is vital that they receive more funding for urgent improvements.
Our parks are incredibly important for everyone's public health. When children like me have safe, clean places to play, we get fresh air and exercise, which keeps us fit and happy. Broken swings and muddy paths stop us from using them.
Parks also create a strong community spirit. Families meet there, friends play together, and people of all ages can relax. If our parks are neglected, people stay home instead, and our community feels less connected. Imagine new picnic tables and a vibrant community garden!
Finally, lovely parks make our area a much nicer place to live. This can even help the property values of homes nearby, as people want to live in places with great facilities.
