Forest Sighting
The Prompt
Imagine you're on a quiet walk deep inside a magical, ancient forest. The sunlight filters through the tall trees, creating dancing shadows on the ground. Suddenly, something catches your eye! What is it? Is it a tiny, colourful mushroom peeking out from under a pile of leaves? Or perhaps a busy squirrel burying its nuts, its tail twitching? Maybe it's a majestic old oak tree with branches reaching up to the sky, or a sparkling stream winding its way through the mossy rocks.
Your task is to choose just ONE interesting thing that you might spot in this forest. Then, write 3 to 5 clear and descriptive sentences about what you see. Think about its colours, its size, its shape, and what it might be doing. Use your imagination and try to use 'wow' words (adjectives) to help your reader picture exactly what you're seeing!
