Received Gift
The Prompt
Hello brilliant writers! Today, we're going to think about something wonderful: a gift you have received!
Everyone loves getting presents, whether it's for your birthday, Christmas, Eid, Diwali, or just a lovely surprise from someone special. Your mission is to write a short, exciting paragraph (that's a few sentences joined together) all about one specific gift.
To help you, here are some ideas to get your brain buzzing:
- What was the gift? Was it a toy, a book, clothes, a game, or something else entirely?
- Who gave it to you? Was it a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or a friend?
- When did you receive it? Was it recently or a while ago?
- What does it look like? Use descriptive words! Is it big or small? What colours are it? Is it soft, shiny, or bumpy?
- How did you feel when you opened it? Were you excited, surprised, happy, or grateful?
- What do you like to do with your gift? Do you play with it, read it, wear it, or display it?
Try to use interesting words to make your description come alive for the reader. Imagine they've never seen your gift before!
