Something Round

Primary & ElementaryEasyFoundational Writing

The Prompt

Hello young writers! Today, we're going on a shape hunt with our imaginations. Your task is to write a short paragraph, just a few sentences long, about something that is round.

Think about all the wonderful round things in the world around you! It could be a super bouncy football, a yummy, juicy orange, a bright, shining sun, or even a tiny, smooth pebble you found.

Choose one round object and tell us all about it. What does it look like? Is it big or small? What colour is it? Does it feel smooth or bumpy? What do you use it for, or what does it do? Try to use exciting describing words (adjectives) to paint a clear picture in the reader's mind. Make sure your sentences flow nicely together to create a lovely little description. Have fun exploring the world of circles!
