The Prompt

Title: My Red Discovery

Hello amazing writers! Today, we're going on a colour hunt to explore the vibrant world of 'red'. Think about all the wonderful things that are red around you – a juicy apple, a speedy fire engine, a delicate poppy, or even your favourite jumper!

Your task is to choose one red object that you find interesting. Then, write 3 to 5 clear and descriptive sentences about it. We want you to paint a picture with your words!

Think about:

  • What is your red object?
  • What shade of red is it? (Is it bright, dark, shiny, dull?)
  • Where would you usually see it?
  • What does it feel like, or what does it do?

Remember to start each sentence with a capital letter and end it with a full stop. Let your imagination glow as brightly as the colour red!

💡 Writing Tips

  • Choose your favourite red thing – an apple, a rose, or maybe a fire engine!

  • Describe what it looks like. Is it bright red, dark red, or shiny?

  • Where might you find it? What does it do?

  • Remember to use exciting adjectives and full stops!
