Nature Sounds
The Prompt
Have you ever stopped to truly listen to the amazing sounds of nature? It could be the gentle 'drip-drop' of rain on your window, the cheerful 'chirp-chirp' of a robin in your garden, or the soft 'whoosh' of wind through the trees in a park.
Your task is to choose one sound from nature that you remember hearing. It could be from outside your home, a local park, or even a holiday. Now, imagine you're writing a short letter to a friend, describing this special sound to them.
In a few sentences (like a short paragraph!), tell us:
- What was the sound?
- Where did you hear it?
- What was making the sound?
- How did it make you feel?
Try to use words that help the reader hear the sound in their mind, making your writing come alive!
