The Prompt
Hello, young authors! It's time to share your passion for reading. We want you to tell us all about your absolute favourite book!
Think about that one special book you can't put down, the one you'd recommend to everyone. Perhaps it's a story that makes you laugh, takes you on a grand adventure, or introduces you to unforgettable characters.
In a short paragraph (aim for about 4-6 sentences), we'd like you to:
- Introduce your book: What is its title, and who is the amazing author?
- Give us a tiny peek: What is the story generally about? Don't give away any big surprises, just a sentence or two to spark our interest.
- Tell us WHY it's your favourite: This is the most important part! Do you love the brave characters, the thrilling adventures, the funny jokes, or how it makes you feel? Use exciting words to describe your feelings and the book itself.
Imagine you're trying to convince a friend to read it. Make us want to pick it up too!

📝 Sample Answer
My favourite book is 'Matilda' by Roald Dahl. It's about a super-smart little girl who loves to read but has awful, unkind parents and a horrible headteacher called Miss Trunchbull. Matilda discovers she has special powers and uses them to help her kind teacher, Miss Honey, and to stand up for herself. I love this book because Matilda is so clever and brave, and it's exciting to see how she outsmarts the grown-ups. It makes me believe that even small people can do amazing things.
