Park Sighting
The Prompt
Imagine you're taking a walk in your favourite park. What do you see? It could be anything – a busy squirrel burying nuts, a colourful butterfly fluttering past, children playing on the swings, or even a grand old oak tree standing tall.
Your task is to choose one interesting thing you spot in the park. Now, become a super-sleuth of words! Write a short description, like a mini-story, about this one thing.
Think about:
- What does it look like? (Colours, size, shape, details)
- What is it doing? (Is it moving? Is it still? How?)
- How does it make you feel, or what does it make you think about?
Try to use exciting words that help your reader see exactly what you're describing. Make your sentences clear and interesting, just like a snapshot from your park adventure!
