Favorite Animal
The Prompt
Welcome, young writers! Today, we're going on an adventure into the animal kingdom. We want to hear all about YOUR absolute favourite animal! It could be a fluffy cat, a speedy cheetah, a wise old owl, or even a tiny ant – any animal you find fascinating.
Your task is to write a short paragraph, about 4-6 sentences long, describing your chosen animal. Think about:
- What is it? Name your animal and tell us a little bit about it.
- What does it look like? Describe its appearance – its colours, size, fur, feathers, or scales. Does it have big ears, a long tail, or sharp claws?
- Why do you love it? What makes this animal so special to you? Is it its behaviour, its cuteness, or something amazing it can do?
Try to use interesting words to paint a picture for your reader. Imagine you're telling a friend all about your amazing animal! We can't wait to read about your animal heroes!
