I pushed open my wardrobe door, expecting to grab my favourite blue top. But instead of fabric and hangers, a shimmering, swirling vortex of emerald green and sapphire blue pulsed gently. It hummed softly, like a distant lullaby, and tiny golden sparks danced at its edges. My heart thumped like a drum, but curiosity tugged me forward. I reached out a hand. The air felt warm and tingly, like static electricity. Taking a deep breath, I stepped through.
Suddenly, the hum stopped. I was standing on soft, bouncy ground that felt like giant marshmallows! Above me, the sky was a cheerful orange, dotted with fluffy purple clouds that floated past like enormous cotton wool balls. Gigantic lollipops grew from the ground, their swirly tops sparkling in the orange light. A friendly-looking creature, covered in rainbow fur with wings like a butterfly, fluttered towards me, offering a sweet-smelling flower. This was definitely not my bedroom!
