Three Wishes
The Prompt
Imagine one sunny afternoon, while exploring your garden or a local park, you stumble upon something magical – perhaps an ancient, dusty lamp, a shimmering four-leaf clover, or a tiny, sparkling fairy. Suddenly, a mysterious voice booms (or a tiny whisper giggles), telling you that you have been granted three incredible wishes!
These aren't just any wishes; they can be anything your heart desires! You could wish for something silly, something super-helpful, or even something totally impossible in real life.
Think carefully:
- What would your first wish be? Why is it so important to you?
- What about your second wish? Will it change things for your family, friends, or even the whole world?
- And your third, final wish? Will it be grand and adventurous, or something quiet and personal?
Describe each wish in detail. What happens the moment you make it? Does a puff of smoke appear, or do things slowly start to change? How do you feel when your wishes come true? Will everything be perfect, or might there be a tiny, unexpected twist?

I couldn't believe it! A tiny, shimmering pixie fluttered in front of me, her wings like stained glass. 'Three wishes are yours!' she chirped.
My first wish popped out before I could even think: 'I wish for a never-ending supply of my favourite chocolate biscuits!' Instantly, a golden biscuit tin appeared, overflowing with gooey chocolate chip cookies. I munched happily, but after a while, I realised I was full and there were still so many!
For my second wish, I thought about my little brother, Tom, who always wanted to fly. 'I wish Tom could fly, just for one day!' I declared. With a giggle, the pixie waved her wand, and Tom, who was playing nearby, suddenly floated off the ground, soaring around the garden like a tiny superhero! He shrieked with delight, zipping past the apple tree and doing loop-the-loops. It was amazing to watch him.
My final wish was a bit trickier. I thought about all the rubbish in the park. 'I wish all the plastic in the world would disappear and turn into colourful flowers!' I whispered. A gentle breeze swept through, and as I watched, crisp packets and plastic bottles in the park shimmered, then transformed into bright, cheerful daisies and sunflowers. The world instantly looked cleaner and more beautiful. I felt a warm glow inside, knowing I'd used my last wish to help everyone.
