Life Underwater
The Prompt
Welcome, young adventurers, to a world beneath the waves! Imagine a secret door opens, and you find yourself transformed, able to breathe and live deep down in the ocean. This is your chance to create a vivid picture with words.
You are going to write a creative story or a detailed description about what it would really be like to live underwater. Think about:
- Who are you? Are you a speedy dolphin, a colourful fish, a giant octopus, or a mythical sea creature?
- Where do you live? Is your home a cosy cave, a glittering coral palace, a sandy burrow, or a sunken ship?
- What do you see? Describe the vibrant colours of the coral reefs, the playful schools of fish, or the mysterious darkness of the deep sea.
- What do you hear and feel? The gentle currents, the distant clicks of whales, the soft sand beneath you.
- What is your daily life like? What do you eat for breakfast? Who are your friends? What games do you play? Do you explore shipwrecks, tend an underwater garden, or race with your marine pals?
- Are there any challenges? Perhaps a tricky current, a grumpy crab neighbour, or a treasure to find!
Use your imagination to bring this underwater world to life for your reader. Make them feel like they are right there with you, swimming amongst the wonders of the deep!
