Meeting an Alien
The Prompt
Get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write an exciting creative story about the day you, or your main character, comes face-to-face with an alien from another planet.
Think about these questions to spark your imagination:
- The Setting: Where does this extraordinary meeting take place? Is it in your back garden, during a school trip, on a quiet street at night, or perhaps somewhere even more unexpected?
- The Alien: What does your alien look like? Is it small and green, tall and shimmering, or made of wobbly jelly? Does it have two eyes, twenty eyes, or none at all? How does it move? What kind of sounds does it make? Does it have any special powers or gadgets?
- The Encounter: How do you first discover the alien? Does a spaceship land with a bump, do you hear a strange noise, or see a peculiar light? What happens when you meet? Is the alien friendly, shy, a little bit clumsy, or perhaps a little scary at first?
- The Story: How do you communicate? Do you try to understand each other? What happens during your time together? Do you go on a mini-adventure, solve a problem, or learn something new about each other's worlds?
Let your imagination fly further than the stars!
