The bell above the door gave a rusty jingle as I pushed it open. Inside, the air was thick with the smell of old leather and something sweet, like cinnamon. Dust motes danced in the slivers of sunlight that pierced the gloom from the grimy windows. Shelves piled high with shoes stretched to the ceiling – boots with tiny, feathered wings; slippers that glowed faintly; and trainers that seemed to hum with energy. My eyes landed on a pair of bright red, glittery trainers with silver laces. They looked completely ordinary, but a faint, rhythmic thump-thump seemed to come from them. Curious, I slipped them on. Immediately, my legs felt lighter, springier. With a sudden burst, I wasn't just walking; I was bouncing! Each step made me leap higher and higher, until I was practically touching the dusty lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling. These weren't just trainers; they were super-bouncing shoes!
