📝 Sample Answer

Along the muddy bank of a quiet river, a kingfisher sat on a slender willow branch. It was hardly bigger than a child's hand, yet it wore the colours of a precious jewel. Its back shone an astonishing electric blue, while its chest glowed orange, like a tiny flame among the green leaves.

Below, the river slid between the reeds. Water beetles drew delicate circles on its surface, and a dragonfly rested on a stone warmed by the morning sun. The kingfisher stayed perfectly still. Its dark eye watched the water with an expression of fierce concentration. Even when the willow leaves trembled in the breeze, the bird scarcely moved.

Then a silver flicker appeared beneath the surface. The kingfisher plunged, swift as an arrow. There was a small splash, a spray of shining droplets and a brief silence. Suddenly, it burst from the water with a minnow gripped in its long beak. It returned to the branch and shook itself, scattering diamonds of water into the air.

A moment later, the bright bird vanished upstream. Only the ripples remained, spreading slowly across the river as though nothing extraordinary had happened.
