Reveal example and teaching notes
On my thirteenth birthday, the city assigned me a cloud. It drifted above my head wherever I walked, measuring my temperature, checking my homework and reminding me to smile for the cameras. That morning the cloud was black. It flashed a warning in a language I had never learned, then began moving towards the sea without me.
Learn from the example
- The example focuses on one situation, keeping the action easy to follow. Notice how a detail, action or decision moves that situation forward.
- Use the task's requirements to plan the development and ending of your own response; an opening alone does not demonstrate a complete story arc.
