About Radley College

Radley College is an academically selective boys’ full-boarding school set in extensive Oxfordshire parkland, with a distinctive collegiate atmosphere. Its boarding houses, called Socials, foster smaller communities within a school known for sport, music, theatre, visual arts and an emphasis on character as well as achievement. Radley’s commitment to widening access includes funded-place programmes for boys whose families would otherwise be unable to afford boarding education.

Radley’s normal entry is at 13+ into Year 9; it does not have a regular Year 7/11+ intake and does not publish a simple annual place number for each admissions route. Boys can be considered through the traditional Radley List or Open Entry, usually with ISEB Common Pre-tests, school references and interviews during Year 6, or through scholarships assessed in Year 8. The Radley Keys Award is an 11+-age assessment and funding pathway that can help eligible state-primary boys attend a prep school before joining Radley at 13, not direct Year 7 entry.
