Psychological Description
The London 11+ Consortium is not a school but a partnership of 13 London independent girls’ schools that share one Year 7 entrance assessment. Its distinctive purpose is to reduce repeated testing for girls applying to several member schools while assessing reasoning, academic understanding, problem-solving and creative or critical thinking. Members include Godolphin and Latymer, South Hampstead High, Channing and the two Francis Holland schools.
The Consortium has no central intake or fixed number of places: each member school controls its own 11+ admissions, interviews, bursaries and offers. Applicants register separately with the schools they choose but normally sit one shared online test of approximately 100 minutes in Year 6, usually at their current school or a participating school, with results shared across their applications. Each member also considers its own school reference and interview arrangements. There is no Consortium-wide 13+ admissions route; occasional Year 9 places are handled individually by member schools.
