Longer Lunch Breaks Needed
The Prompt
Imagine this: The bell rings for lunch, and suddenly it's a race against time! Do you ever wish you had more minutes to eat your yummy food, chat with friends, or play a proper game of tag? This is your chance to become a brilliant speaker! Your task is to write a persuasive speech to deliver to your classmates. You need to convince them that we either really need longer lunch breaks OR that our current lunch breaks are just right (or even too long!).
Think carefully about both sides. If we had longer breaks, what would be the amazing benefits for students? More energy? Better friendships? And what about the teachers and staff – how might it help or hinder them? On the flip side, if breaks stayed the same, or got shorter, what would happen?
Your speech should be packed with good reasons and strong arguments. Your goal is to make your classmates nod their heads and say, "Yes, I agree!" or "Hmm, I never thought of it that way!" Get ready to persuade!
