The Prompt

Imagine a world where you could understand every purr, bark, tweet, or squeak! If you had this amazing power, what secrets would animals share with you?

Your mission is to pick one animal – maybe your pet, a creature from your garden, or even a wild animal you've always been fascinated by. Now, close your eyes and truly imagine what it would be like to have a conversation with them.

What's on their mind? Would your dog complain about bath time? Would a squirrel tell you where it buries its nuts? Perhaps a wise old owl would share ancient tales of the forest, or a grumpy cat would simply demand more treats!

Think about:

  • Who is your animal? Give them a name or a clear identity.
  • What would their voice sound like? High-pitched, rumbling, soft?
  • What would they talk about? Their daily worries, their biggest wishes, or funny observations?
  • How do they show their feelings as they talk? Do they wag their tail furiously, puff up their feathers, or twitch their whiskers?

Write down the conversation you would have, or simply what the animal would reveal to you. Remember to use speech marks ("...") when your animal is speaking. Let your imagination run wild and bring your chosen animal's voice to life!

💡 Writing Tips

  • Choose one animal you know well (or one you find interesting!).

  • Imagine its personality: Is it cheeky, wise, sleepy, or grumpy?

  • What's the most important thing it would want to tell you or ask for?

  • Remember to use speech marks ("...") every time the animal speaks.

  • Show us what the animal looks like and how it acts as it talks!
